A Life of Faith
When all seems lost in the world, it helps me to remember St. Paul’s letter to the Hebrews in which he reminded them that Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. I read once in a prayer devotional that hardship can cause you to face things and do things you could not have done without the hardship. Hardship will make you pray. Hardship will make you come running to God. Hardship will make you increase your faith. It couldn’t be more true for me, and if you’re here on my page, perhaps you’re going through something too. But you don’t have to go it alone. God is with you. He cares and he has plans of good not evil so just have faith in Him, and this too shall pass.
Whenever you face hardship, pause and ask, how might God be using this trying circumstance to fortify my relationship with Him and those around me? Remember, you might not see the answer immediately but it will come. Have faith. As someone once told me, God is into marinating not microwaving.
In this space, I have decided to let my guard down and share personal reflections on faith as I and others I encounter experience it. I hope it touches something in you and brings you closer to God on your faith journey.
